SSSI Week 2: Factor Theorem and Polynomial Division

Year 1 Factor Theorem

If you didn't like polynomial long division then use the GRID method instead (video link below)

Hopefully this week is straight forward. 

Key points:

The roots (solutions) once you've found f(a) = 0 give you where the graph crosses the x-axis

You can find where the graph crosses the y-axis simply by finding f(0).

Make sure your polynomial has all of the descending powers before trying to divide. If there is an x^2 missing then put 0x^2 into the expression.
